2007 AS A FRESHMAN: Did not compete for Florida.

HIGH SCHOOL/PREP: Best of 56-8 in shot put … Set PR by finishing third at 2006 Florida Class 3A state meet in the shot put with mark of 56-8 … Claimed 2006 Class 3A Region 1 title with throw of 52-6 and the District 4 crown with toss of 53-4 … Set high school record in shot put … Also played football and was the MVP of the 2005 Florida Shine Bowl after recording 3.5 sacks and a blocked PAT … 2006 graduate of Fernandina Beach High School.
