Florida diving’s 2024-25 season featured five NCAA qualifiers, four SEC medalists, two program records, and three All-SEC honorees.
At the NCAA Championships, five divers represented Florida across 11 events. Sophomore Camyla Monroy and freshman Jesus Gonzalez qualified in all three events, while junior Peyton Donald and sophomore Conor Gesing advanced in both springboard events. Junior Casey Greenberg secured her first NCAA Championships berth on platform. Gesing earned his first career All-America honor, collecting second-team recognition after placing 14th in the one-meter consolation final.
At the SEC Championships, Gator diving accounted for four medals and 10 top-16 finishes, contributing 250 total points to the combined team scores. Monroy was named SEC Women’s Diver of the Meet after capturing gold on the one-meter and advancing to the A finals in both the three-meter and platform events. On the men’s side, Gesing claimed the SEC title on one-meter with a program-record score of 412.75 and added a silver medal on three-meter. Gonzalez earned bronze on platform, setting a school record with a final score of 452.35.
During the 2023-24 season, she helped coach freshman duo Conor Gesing and Camyla Monroy. The pair made a combined five podium appearances after advancing to the A final in all three diving events. Monroy was crowned the 2024 SEC platform champion to earn Florida’s first title since 2011. Additionally, she claimed two silver medals in the 1-meter and 3-meter events. On the men’s side freshman Conor Gesing earned his first SEC gold medal to bring home Florida’s first 3-meter title since 1985, while also earning bronze in the 1-meter. Six divers advanced to 2024 NCAA Championships; Camyla Monroy, Carina Lumia, Peyton Donald, Skip Donald, Conor Gesing and Anton Svirskyi. Four earned All-American honors after advancing to a Championship or Consolation Final.During her first five seasons at Florida, Perez Gillooly tutored five All-Americans to 15 honors. Most recently under her instruction, Maha Amer was tabbed as the SEC Female Diver of the Year in 2022 and both Amer and Leonardo Garcia were named to the All-SEC Second Team in 2023.
Perez Gillooly also helped train Ashley McCool, Brooke Madden and Aton Svirskyi, who combined for eight All-America accolades during their time at Florida
She was an international diver for Venezuela and competed at several FINA Grand Prix events and the 2007 Pan American Games for her home country.
