George Washington University, Assistant Coach - Two Years (2013-15)
  • Ferrara's primary responsibilities with the Colonials included working with the post players, as well as recruiting, player development, strength and conditioning and on-floor coaching.
  • 2014-15
    • GW earned No. 6 Seed in NCAA Tournament
    • The Colonials set program record for wins with a 29-4 overall record. GW was ranked as high as 19th in both polls and finished the 2014-15 season ranked 25th in the final USA Today Coaches Poll. 
    • Won the Atlantic 10 Regular-Season and Tournament championships
    • Helped implement an Up-Tempo offense that was among the nation's best in both 2014 and 2015. GW was 29th in the nation in scoring in 2014-15 and ninth in the country in possessions per game. 
    • Responsible for building the game plan against most of GW's top opponents, including all three wins over eventual Elite Eight participant Dayton
    • All three of GW's all-conference honorees were Coach Ferrara's post players, including Jonquel Jones, the A-10 Player and Defensive Player of the Year, as well as Caira Washington, a first-team selection, and Kelli Prange, an all-rookie team pick. Jones, a midseason candidate for the Naismith Trophy, would also later become GW's first AP All-America honorable mention since 2008.
    • 2013-14
    • Colonials posted their most wins (23) since 2008, tied for second in the Atlantic 10 standings and advanced to the A-10 semifinals and the third round of the WNIT, earning the program's first postseason victories since the 2008 campaign.
    • Two of Coach Ferrara's charges - forwards Jonquel Jones (2nd Team) and Caira Washington (3rd Team) - earned All-Conference honors, and Washington was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year.
 
Hofstra University, Assistant Coach - Three Years (2011-14)
  • Ferrara served as recruiting coordinator at Hofstra, assembling the sixth-best recruiting class among mid-majors in 2012 according to ESPN Hoopgurlz and the 50th-ranked class in the nation by All-Star Girls Report.
  • Oversaw Hofstra's offense, as the Pride increased its scoring average from 62.2 points per game before his arrival to 75.0 ppg in 2010-11 and 2011-12, leading the Colonial Athletic Association and ranking in the top 20 in the nation both seasons. Hofstra posted a 52-41 record during his three years and earned a postseason WNIT bid in 2012.
 
Central Michigan University, Assistant Coach - Three Years (2008-11)
  • Guided offensive turnaround as the Chippewas increased their scoring average by 12.0 ppg from 2007-08 to 2008-09, his first season in charge of the offense. That season, CMU ranked fourth in the nation in scoring, averaging 78.3 ppg, and was eighth in the country with eight 3-pointers per contest. The following year, the Chippewas again ranked among the nation's best in both scoring and three-pointers.
  • Ferrara worked with CMU’s perimeter players, coaching his charges to All-Mid American Conference honors each season. In addition, guard Angel Chan was invited to participate in the 2009 State Farm College Three-Point Championship after setting the school record with 92 three-pointers made.
  • Led the recruiting efforts at CMU, signing a top-50 class in 2011 according to All-Star Girls Report, including ESPN Hoopgurlz' 15th-ranked player in Crystal Bradford.
