THREE GATORS MOVE INTO ROUND OF 16 IN SINGLES AND BOTH DOUBLES TEAMS ADVANCE AT USC FALL INVITATIONAL

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of Florida men's tennis team opened play Friday at the University of South Carolina Fall Invitational at the Sam Daniel Tennis Center. Three Gators, seniors Trey Adcock and Dylan Mann, as well as junior Marcos Asse, moved into the round of 16 of the B-1 singles flight.
Asse and Mann both won two matches Friday, while Adcock received a first round bye before posting a win in the second round. Asse had to go three sets in both of his wins, downing Georgia Tech's Tim Bibby in the first round before outlasting North Carolina's Aron Breziner, 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 7-6 (7-4). Mann lost just 11 total games in his two matches, knocking off Georgia Tech's Jason Jeong in round one and beating South Carolina's Rodrigo Pacheco in second-round play. Adcock quickly disposed of Virginia Tech's Saber Kadiri, 6-0, 6-2 in the second round. Freshman Matt Behrmann received a first round bye before falling in the second round to Tennessee's Andy Crews in a tight 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2) loss.
Asse will meet Furman's Patrick Gaughan at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the round of 16, while Adcock faces Tennessee's Matt Turner at 11:00 a.m. Mann will face the winner of the match between James Madison's Mike Hendrickson and Furman's Jete O'Keefe at 11:00 a.m.
In doubles, both Gator teams were victorious in the first round of the B-1b doubles flight. Adcock and Behrmann routed Winthrop's Calo Lima and J.P. Rezende, 8-1, while Asse and Mann easily downed UNC's Breziner and Max Hilkey, 8-2. Adcock and Behrmann will meet Aleksandar Nicin and Paul Siviter from Stetson at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, while Asse and Mann will face East Tennessee State's duo of Matt Keeter and Ricardo Nava at 3:30 p.m.

UF'S MANN ADVANCES TO SINGLES SEMIFINALS AND BOTH DOUBLES TEAMS REACH FINAL AT USC FALL INVITATIONAL
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Senior Dylan Mann advanced to the semifinals of the B-1 singles flight and both Gator doubles teams reached the final of the B-1b doubles flight Saturday at the University of South Carolina Fall Invitational at the Sam Daniel Tennis Center.
Mann easily handled Furman's Jete O'Keefe, 6-0, 6-1 in the third round to set up a quarterfinal matchup with fellow senior and teammate Trey Adcock, an easy 6-0, 6-2 winner over Tennessee's Matt Turner. Mann won the all-Gator battle, outlasting Adcock 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 to reach the semifinals, where he will meet third-seeded Travis Parrott of Georgia Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Junior Marcos Asse lost to Furman's Patrick Gaughan in three sets in the round of 16 Saturday morning.
In doubles, both Gator teams won two matches Saturday to set up an all-Gator final in the B-1b doubles flight Sunday afternoon. Adcock and freshman Matt Behrmann downed Stetson's Aleksandar Nicin and Paul Siviter in the quarterfinals and then knocked off Georgia Southern's duo of Darren Clark and Florian Scheidat in one semifinal. Asse and Mann eliminated East Tennessee State's team of Matt Keeter and Ricardo Nava in the quarters before reaching the final with an 8-4 win over Old Dominion's Alex Cancado and Nikola Laca.
Behrmann advanced to the semifinals of the B-1a consolation draw with two wins over Georgia Tech players. Behrmann beat Jason Jeong in straight sets before fighting to a 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Travis Iams. Behrmann will meet another Yellow Jacket, Tim Bibby, at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

FLORIDA'S BEHRMANN CLAIMS CONSOLATION TITLE AT USC FALL INVITATIONAL
COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of Florida freshman Matt Behrmann claimed the singles title of the B-1a consolation draw on the final day of the University of South Carolina Fall Invitational at the Sam Daniel Tennis Center Sunday. In other action, senior Dylan Mann lost in the semifinals of the B-1 singles flight. Florida's doubles teams, who were scheduled to meet for the B-1b doubles crown, decided that they will play the match in Gainesville at a later date. Senior Trey Adcock and Behrmann will face junior Marcos Asse and Mann in the all-Gator final.
Behrmann knocked off Georgia Tech's Tim Bibby 6-2, 6-2 Sunday morning before taking the title with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Purdue's Carl McCafferty. Mann battled third-seeded Travis Parrott of Georgia Sunday morning before falling 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (4) to end his run at the title.
"Matt did a great job all weekend," said Gator head coach Ian Duvenhage. "He showed a lot of competitiveness and guts. I am real happy with what he did. I knew the doubles teams were playing well together. I expected them to do well."
