JOHNSON WINS DIVISION IV BRACKET FOR UF MEN'S TENNIS

Freshman Trey Johnson captured the Division IV Championship on Sunday to highlight the University of Florida men's tennis team's competition at the Southern Collegiates in Athens, Ga. this weekend.
In his first collegiate competition, Johnson fell in the Division IV final to Kirk Jackson of Middle Tennessee, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
After a strong run through the field, Troy Hahn's bid for a Division II championship was stopped today in the semifinals when he suffered a 7-6 (7-4), 0-6, 6-4 loss to Michael Staniak of Middle Tennessee. Hahn and Ross Greenstein were defeated in the semifinals of the Division II Doubles bracket by the eventual champion team of Demetris Leontis and Will Glenn from host Georgia, 8-4.
Two Gators have had strong runs through the consolation brackets. Wes Nott won the Division III Consolation Championship today. Nott cruised past Johan Westin of UCF, 6-1, 6-1 in the semifinals this morning and then recorded a 6-2, 7-6 (2) win over Miha Lisac of Georgia State in the final. Meanwhile, Jeremy Wutzman has advanced to the final of the Division II Consolation bracket. After rolling Tristan Menaine of North Carolina, 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinals, Wutzman posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Todd Carlson of Georgia in the semifinals. Wutzman will face Anthony Mateljan at 10:00 am on Monday in the Division II Consolation Championship Match.
