UF Men's Tennis Wins Eight of Nine Over Auburn at Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The University of Florida men's tennis team wrapped up an impressive showing at this weekend's Gator Invitational by winning eight of nine matches against Auburn Sunday at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex.
"I saw some progress this weekend and that's promising," UF head coach Ian Duvenhage said. "This tournament was a good opportunity for our younger guys to play some matches and get some competition under their belt."
UF's Troy Hahn defeated Julion Curatella 6-2, 6-2 to end his weekend with a perfect 3-0 record.
Jeremy Wurtzman also had a strong showing this weekend, polishing off Mark Kovacs 6-2, 6-0 to finish with a 2-1 singles record.
Miami and South Florida split the 10 matches played, with the Bulls winning three of the four doubles matches and the Hurricanes taking four of six singles bouts.
The Gators return to action next weekend, traveling to Athens, Ga., for the Rolex Regional Qualifying event.
