Tampa Twice Tickets Now On Sale

The University of South Florida Athletics Department and the Tampa Sports Commission are proud to announce that tickets for the Tampa Twice volleyball tournament are now on sale.
Washington, Minnesota, Florida and USF will vie for the inaugural tournament title in hopes that it springs their team to a return trip to Tampa for the 2009 NCAA Championships in December.
USF and the Sports Commission will team up again to host volleyball's version of the Final Four at the St. Pete Times Forum on Dec. 17 and 19.

USF has created $5 and $10 books for the Tampa Twice Tournament, which will be held in the USF Sun Dome Sept. 11 and 12. Each book is a two-day pass which gets adults, youths and senior citizens into the two volleyball games per day. On Fri., Sept.11, Washington faces Minnesota at 6 p.m., while USF will take on the University of Florida at 8 p.m. On day two, Florida takes on Washington at 6 p.m. and the Bulls close the tournament with a matchup with Minnesota at 8 p.m. For tickets, click HERE.
Adding more intrigue to the instate showdown is the fact that USF assistant coach Nikki Shade and head coach Claire Lessinger both played their collegiate ball at Florida. Additionally, outside hitter Pamela Luiz transferred to USF from Minnesota this offseason.
Washington is currently ranked No. 4, Florida is ranked No. 8 and Minnesota is No. 11 in the 2009 AVCA Coaches Top 25 Preseaso?n Poll.

8 p.m. - USF vs. Florida
Saturday, Sept. 12
9 a.m.- 11 a.m. -Kids clinic in corral with players from each team.
3 p.m. - High School Classic - Berkeley Prep vs. Venice
6 p.m. - Florida vs. Washington
8 p.m. - USF vs. Minnesota
