Slilam Earns ITA All-Tournament Team Honors

The University of Florida's Nassim Slilam (Paris, France) has been named to the 2010 ITA All-Tournament Team for the ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championship, which took place Feb. 12-15 in Charlottesville, Va., the ITA announced on Thursday.
Slilam, a sophomore in his first season at UF, posted a 3-0 singles record at the No. 6 position for Florida during the event, helping the 12th-ranked Gators to a 2-1 finish with wins over No. 5 Baylor and No. Georgia.
After a three-set victory over Baylor's Maros Horny on Friday, Slilam cruised to a pair of straight-sets wins against Ohio Stat's Matt Allare and Georgia's Christian Vitulli on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The All-Tournament Team was voted by the 16 participating coaches and the ITA National Ranking Committee.
It is the second individual honor for the Gator men's tennis team this week, as Sekou Bangoura Jr. (Bradenton, Fla.) was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Wednesday.
