Head Coach Mary Wise Met with the Media on Monday

University of Florida head coach Mary Wise addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Wise shared her assessment of last weekend's wins at the season-opening Runza/AVAC Showcase, where the No. 13 Gators defeated No. 9 Iowa State (3-1) and No. 2 Nebraska (3-2) in Omaha, Neb.
Coach then discussed and answered questions about the start to the year, on defeating highly-ranked opponents so early in the season, on the libero, on rallying in the fifth set against Nebraska, on the tough non-conference schedule, on senior Callie Rivers, on the play of freshman setter Chanel Brown, on winning the block battle and on playing at home this weekend.
Florida will open its 2010 home slate by playing host to the Campus USA Credit Union Invitational this Friday and Saturday at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. The Gators face Albany at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Bowling Green at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Colorado State at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
