Gainesville, Fla. – The University of Florida lacrosse team has been tabbed as the preseason No. 5 in Lacrosse Magazine's 2014 Preseason Top 20 rankings, released by the publication on Tuesday.
The University of Florida lacrosse team has been tabbed as No. 5 in Lacrosse Magazine's 2014 Preseason Top 20 rankings, released by the publication on Tuesday.
The Gators are coming off their third-consecutive ALC regular-season championship as well as their third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance in the program's four-year history. Florida finished the season with an 18-3 record, including a 9-0 record at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
Of the preseason Top 20, the Gators will face six in the 2014 season (North Carolina, Syracuse, Northwestern, Penn State, Loyola and Stony Brook). The 2014 slate kicks off on Feb. 8 at North Carolina at 12 p.m.
