
Gators Ranked No. 13 to Kick Off 2015 Season

The University of Florida men's tennis team opens the 2015 season ranked 13th in the country according to the first ITA Division I National Men's Rankings of 2015, released today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Sophomore Maxx Lipman, a captain of this year's Gator squad, leads the Florida singles rankings at No. 34. Junior Diego Hidalgo earned the No. 60 ranking, while sophomore Elliott Orkin checks in at No. 81.
All four Florida doubles team earned a place in the 2015 opening rankings: No. 32 Gordon Watson/Hidalgo, No. 43 Josh Wardell/Oliver Landert, No. 49 Lipman/Orkin and No. 50 freshman tandem Jordan Belga/Chase Perez-Blanco.
The No. 13-ranked Florida men's team and No. 3-ranked women's team together represent one of 16 schools with both their men's and women's programs ranked in the Top 25.
The Gators open the 2015 season on Saturday, Jan. 10, when they host William & Mary at 11 a.m. at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
