No. 1/6 Gators Facing Elite Field at Razorback Invitational
Thursday, January 28, 2016 | Track and Field
Five of the top six teams from both the men's and women's USTFCCCA National Team Rankings will compete in Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Florida track and field program will figure out exactly where it stacks up in the national pecking order this weekend, as it heads to the highly-competitive Razorback Invitational on Friday (Jan. 29) and Saturday (Jan. 30).
It will also mark the first time the SEC Network has televised a live track and field event.
The Gators, who boast the No. 1 men's team and No. 6 women's team for a second consecutive week in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Team Rankings, account for two of the 15 ranked clubs taking part in what is essentially a preview of this year's NCAA Indoor Championships.
Five of the top six teams from both the men's and women's national rankings are set to go head to head in the Randal Tyson Track Center.
SEC Network Plus on Watch ESPN will provide live coverage of Friday's competition, starting at 6 p.m. ET. Day two of the meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network from 1:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. ET.
