
Six Former Gators Compete in Stage II of LPGA Qualifying School

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Six former Gator women's golfers are attending qualifying school in attempt to earn their 2018 LPGA cards.
Kelly Grassel, Mia Piccio, Maria Torres, Karolina Vlckova, Sam Wagner and Anna Young will all be teeing it up for Stage II of qualifying on Thursday at Plantation Golf and Country Club, Venice, Fla.
While Piccio was exempt from Stage I because of her ranking on the Semetra Tour, the other five Gators qualified after finishing in the top 90 at Mission Hills Country Club, Rancho Mirage, Calif.
The six players from Florida are apart of the 192 player field. The event will consist of four rounds through Sunday with the top 80 players advancing to the final stage of qualifying. Players that do not advance to the final stage will
receive 2017 Symetra Tour status depending on completion of 72 holes.
