Three of Florida's sprinters are rounding into form and hoping to capitalize at one of the fastest tracks in the nation
CLEMSON, S.C. – Florida will see sophomores Ryan Clark and Michael Timpson Jr., along with redshirt senior Destinee Gause, compete at Friday's (Feb. 17) Tiger Tuneup.
Clark and Timpson Jr. will both double in the 60 meters and 200 meters. The duo posted season-best 200 meters times of 21.03 and 21.45, respectively, at last weekend's Tyson Invitational. Clark's time of 21.03 ranks tied for 29th nationally. Timpson Jr. ranks 33rd nationally in the 60 meters (6.70), while Clark ranks 45th (6.73).
Gause, who redshirted last year and has been working back into competitive form, will run the 200 meters. Gause's season-best entering Friday is 24.31, but her indoor personal record of 23.22 ranks fourth on the program's all-time indoor top 10.
