Gators Open SEC Regular Season Aiming to Defend Title

Florida launches its SEC slate playing at LSU and Texas A&M this weekend.
BATON ROUGE, La. – After blitzing through the majority of their challenging non-conference schedule and winning all nine matches, the top-ranked Gators are ready to reset their record, dust off their racquets and begin the Southeastern Conference portion of the 2016-17 campaign.
On Friday, Florida plays a dual match for the first time since a 4-1 win against reigning NCAA champion Stanford on February 19, traveling to play LSU at the LSU Tennis Complex beginning at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT.
