Deanne Rose scored both goals Sunday. Her golden goal in the 96th minute gave UF its second overtime win of 2017.
AMES, Iowa – For the second consecutive afternoon, late theatrics gave Gator athletics a win.
Yesterday in The Swamp, it was Feleipe Franks' time-expiring pass to Tyrie Cleveland that gave Florida football the 26-20 win over Tennessee.
Today it was Florida fútbol's turn for a sudden victory.
Freshman Deanne Rose's golden goal off the perfect pass from Parker Roberts in the 96th minute gave Florida a 2-1 overtime win over Iowa State Sunday afternoon at the Cyclone Sports Complex.

How the Goals Were Scored:
A set play put the Cyclones up 1-0 in the opening half. The corner kick from Merin Mundt bounced in the middle of the box. Klasey Medelberg hit the volley to score her first goal of the season in the 14th minute.
Another goal off a corner kick knotted the score in the 56th minute. Rose was able to tuck in the ball through the near post scrum off the low kick from Gabby Seiler.
Rose's golden goal in the 96th minute started with the Gators driving through the Cyclone half. Roberts received the ball above the box and took a few touches before sending a diagonal through ball ahead. Rose caught up and one-touched the ball in from seven yards to the far post.
