Friday is a "Yellow Match" to raise awareness for pediatric cancer, and will feature the 3D court projection video
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida, undefeated and ranked No. 1 in the country for the first time since 2010, continues Southeastern Conference play in Exactech Arena at Stephen C. O'Connell Center this weekend, facing Tennessee Friday (Sept. 29) and LSU Sunday (Oct. 1).
Additionally, the Florida Gators and UF Health partnered to make Friday a "Yellow Match" to spread awareness for pediatric cancer.
The 3D court projection, which created quite a buzz on social media following its debut last week, will also be shown before Friday's match.
Florida survived its second five-set match of the year last Sunday (Sept. 24), staving off an 11-win Arkansas team to remain unbeaten amid an upset-heavy weekend. The Gators also picked up their fourth win over a ranked opponent—which is tied for the national lead—in its dominant sweep of No. 19 Florida State last Tuesday (Sept. 19).
UF has won 11 consecutive matches over LSU, the last three of which have been sweeps. In its series with Tennessee, Florida boasts six consecutive wins, as well as five sweeps in those six meetings.
Friday's match will be streamed online, while SEC Network will televise Sunday's action. Both matches will be broadcast via the radio airwaves of ESPN Gainesville 98.1 FM / 850 AM as well.
