Gators head to Tampa for South Florida Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida Gators cross country teams were supposed to travel to Tallahassee for the Florida State Invitational, but Hurricane Michael had other plans.
Due to the path of Hurricane Michael and the potential impact on FSU, the Gators were forced to make a schedule change. The men's and women's team will now compete at the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Friday.
The women's 5k race will feature redshirt juniors Delaney Tiernan, Autumn Bartlett and Madison Morse, along with underclassmen Sophie Ebihara, Abbie Harrelson, Maggie Parrish and Daniela Urzua. Bartlett, Harrelson and Morse are all coming off personal record performances at the Mountain Dew Invitational two weeks ago.
For the men, senior Bryce Statham and redshirt junior Jack Rogers will join redshirt sophomores Zach Purvis, Blake Lowery and Marshall Dillon in the 8k race. Dillon and Rogers will be running their first 8k of the season, while Statham and Purvis beat personal records two weeks ago at the Mountain Dew Invitational.
