
Berdusco, Ingildsen claim Doubles Title at ITA Regional Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – Sophomore Brian Berdusco and Junior Johannes Ingildsen have claimed the Doubles Title at the ITA Regional Championships.
The pair downed Miami's Francisco Bastias and Bojan Jankukovski 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinals to set up the championship match against Florida State's Alex Knaff and Sebastian Arcila.
In the finals, Ingildsen and Berdusco dominated the first set 6-0 and clinched the match with a 6-4 second set win.
With their doubles championship, the duo has qualified for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Surprise, Ariz. Nov. 7-11.
Since 2009, the Gators have now won five doubles championships in regional competition, including three of the last four years. Ingildsen also won the doubles crown in 2016 with Alfredo Perez.

Oliver Crawford will travel to the USTA Pro Circuit Charlottesville Tennis Challenger. He will be in qualifying action on Saturday, Oct. 27. McClain Kessler will head to Birmingham and play in the qualifiers of the ITF USA F29 Futures starting Friday, Oct. 26. Duarte Vale, Andy Andrade and Sam Riffice will join Kessler at the USA F29 Futures, but will compete in Main Draw starting Tuesday, Oct. 30. Johannes Ingildsen and Brian Berdusco will get some rest and prepare for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships scheduled for Nov. 7-11.
