
Gators Head West for Northrop Grumman Challenge

Florida apart of field that features 11 ranked teams
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- After finishing second at the Florida Challenge, the Gators travel to California for the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
Florida will be one of 11 ranked teams in the 18 team field while being one of three teams from the SEC (Alabama and Tennessee). The Gators have played in the Northrop Grumman every year 2000, finishing fourth (8-over par) last year.
Taylor Tomlinson won a share of the individual title shooting 4-under (209), a 54-hole career-low. Tomlinson will be in the No. 3 spot this week for Florida.
Coach Emily Glaser has tabbed Sierra Brooks for the No. 1 spot for the second straight tournament. Brooks (6-under) won the Florida Challenge in her Gator debut two weeks ago.
Round one is set to begin on Sunday from Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Course Information: The tournament is being held at the Par-71, 6,017 yards Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif.
Format: 54-hole stroke play where teams will play three rounds over three day.
The Gators' Lineup
Sierra Brooks
Brooks is slotted in the No. 1 position for the second straight event. Brooks won the Florida Challenge after shooting a career-low 67 in the final round.
Carlotta Ricolfi
Ricolfi moves up to the No. 2 spot after finishing in a tie for ninth at the Florida Challenge at 3-over. It was Ricolfi's highest finish of the season
Taylor Tomlinson
Tomlinson who won the event last season is coming off her best finish of the season tying for 11th at the Florida Challenge at 4-over par.
Elin Esborn
Esborn moves back into the Gator starting five after competing in the Florida Challenge as an individual. Esborn tied for 11th on the leaderboard along with Tomlinson.
Marta Perez
Perez is in the No. 5 position for the third straight event. She finished tied for 16th at 6-over par at the Florida Challenge.
