Tuesday, April 17, 2018 | Track and Field
Grant Holloway tied the second-fastest 110-meter hurdles time in collegiate history last Friday
Holloway also garnered SEC Men's Runner of the Week honors for a second time in the last three weeks.
This is Holloway's third National Athlete of the Week accolade this season, as he also earned two indoors. The Chesapeake, Va., native nabbed the award with his 13.16-second run in the 110-meter hurdles—which tied the second-fastest time in collegiate history—at last Friday's Tom Jones Memorial.

Paired with his 8.00-meter long jump from earlier this season, Holloway is the only man in outdoor track and field history to break 13.20 seconds and long jump at least 8.00 meters (both wind-legally) in the same season, according to athlete bios maintained by the IAAF. Moreover, Holloway and Maurice Wignall, a two-time Olympic finalist and three-time IAAF World Championships finalist, are the only men in outdoor track and field history with personal records under 13.20 seconds and of at least 8.00 meters, according to athlete bios maintained by the IAAF.
Holloway and the Gators continue their outdoor campaign next Friday and Saturday, when they travel to the National Relay Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
