Gators travel to East Lansing for Mary Fossum Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators women's golf hits the road for the second week in a row to East Lansing, Michigan where they will compete in the Mary Fossum Invitational.
The 35th annual event is hosted by Michigan State and comprised of 16 teams from across the country.
The No. 12 Gators are joined at the tournament by three other top-30 schools, Michigan State (18), Virginia (23), and Miami (26). Two other SEC schools join the field as well, Georgia and Mississippi State.
Last Time Out
Florida is coming off an exceptional win at the Cougar Classic, shooting a record-low 268 in the final round. That is the lowest round score ever shot in Florida women's golf history. Along with taking home the team title, junior Sierra Brookes took home the individual title after shooting a career-best and tournament record 62 in the final round. Freshman Clara Manzalini is coming off her Gators debut and a top-five finish and sophomore Addie Baggarly had her second-best finish (T15) and tied her career-low round score of 68 on the final day at the Cougar Classic.
Course Information: The tournament is being played at the Par 72, 6,334 yard Forest Akers west Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.
Format: 54-hole stroke play where teams will play three rounds over two days. The first 36 holes will be played on Saturday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final 18 holes will be played Sunday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
