Gators Head Back to Texas for Second Weekend in a row

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators men's golf team heads to Fort Worth, Texas for the 14th annual Nike Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Texas Christian.
After finishing fifth at the event last year in Oregon, Florida is looking to build off the momentum from last weekend and continue to improve off their fourth place finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational. This is the third year the Gators are competing in the event and have finished in the top five every year.
Senior Gordon Neale is the only Gator to return to this year's lineup, after finishing T38 at +2 last year. Sophomore John Axelsen enters the lineup after being the top finisher for the Gators at Trinity Forest last weekend. Neale and Axelsen both finished inside the top 10, with Neale T10 and Axelsen taking home third.
Freshmen Aden Ye and Eugene Hong, and sophomore Manny Girona also competed at Trinity forest last week. Both Ye and Girona finished inside the top 20 at T19. Hong finished T35 at +2.
Course Information: The tournament is being played at the Par 70, 7,054 yard Colonial Country Club golf course in Fort Worth, Texas.
Format: 54-hole stroke play where teams will play three rounds over three days. The first 18-holes will be played on Sunday with a shotgun start scheduled for 7:45 a.m.
