
Gators Look to Finish Fall Strong

The Florida men's golf team will close out its fall season at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational beginning Sunday.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida men's golf team will close out its fall season in Orlando, Fla., at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational. The event is hosted by University of Central Florida and runs from Sunday, Oct. 20 to Tuesday Oct. 22.
Format
The teams will complete 54 holes of stroke play over three days of competition. Each round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. ET.
Course Information
The tournament is being played at the coveted Isleworth Golf Course. The par 72, 7,544 yard course is consistently ranked as one of the longest and toughest courses in Florida.

Tournament History
This is the fourth consecutive year, and fifth time in program history, that the Gators are competing in the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational.
Florida's best performance at the event came in 2016 when it claimed the title behind an 20 under team performance and individual title from Alejandro Tosti.
Last Time Out
The Florida men's golf team took 13th place at Nike Collegiate Invitational at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.
Ricky Castillo was the Gators' top performer on the team's trip to the Pacific Northwest. The freshman finished at 4 under overall, tying for 15th individually – his third-consecutive top-25 finish of the season.
After opening the Invitational with back-to-back even par performances, John Axelsen shot two over through the final round to finish at 2 over collectively and tie for 35th on the leaderboard.
Quentin Debove and Chris Nido shot 6 over and 10 over, respectively, while Fred Biondi finished the event at 20 over.
Up Next
The Gators return to the course in early February for spring season.
