Gators Seek NCAA Individual Honors Friday

Four Gators - Alyssa Bauman, Alicia Boren, Savannah Schoenherr and Trinity Thomas - compete in NCAA Championships' Semifinal II Friday in Ft. Worth
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four Gators compete for individual honors in Friday's NCAA Championships' semifinal action. Florida's individuals compete in NCAA Semifinal II, which begins at 7 p.m. ET in the Fort Worth Convention Center.
Competing Gators:
The individual event qualifiers earned their spot based on their April 5 NCAA Corvallis Regional semifinal finish. As an event's top competitor on an non-advancing team (Florida finished third in NCAA Corvallis Regional final), these four Gators will compete for NCAA Championships' individual honors.

Team & Event Champions
The top two teams in each of Friday's semifinals advance to the NCAA team final on Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m. (ET). This is the first year for the four-team final format. The NCAA Super Six format ran from 1993-2018, with Florida winning titles in 2013, 2014 (tie with Oklahoma) and 2015.
The NCAA Individual Event Finals discontinued after the 2015 season. NCAA individual event champions now are based on Friday's semifinal session performances. The results from the two semifinals combine to determine each of the five event champions. Eight Gators have won 19 NCAA individual titles.

- Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team after tying for fourth in SEC bars (9.90)
- In every vault and uneven bars lineup; also competed floor exercise four times
Trinity Thomas w Uneven Bars & Floor Exercise (competes with Georgia)
- 2019 NACGC All-America first team (all-around, uneven bars, floor exercise) & second team for balance beam – nation's only freshman with four honors
- SEC Freshman of the Year
- Leads Florida with 26 event titles (9 floor; 6 all-around, bars; 3 vault, 2 beam). Includes winning SEC vault
- Every collegiate event best is 9.925 or better, including 9.975 for bars and floor
