Florida's men carried a 3.16 GPA and were top-2 finishers at both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
NEW ORLEANS – A total of 13 Gators and both their men's and women's teams earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
announced Monday afternoon.

Florida's men were also named the USTFCCCA Indoor and Outdoor Scholar Team of the Year. The Gators won the honor by virtue of being the highest-finishing team with at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average at both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Florida's men won the NCAA Indoors title and took second at NCAA Outdoors.

This is the second consecutive year the Gators were the Indoor Scholar Team of the Year, and they previously earned the distinction in 2012 and 2013. It is the first time since 2012 and 2013 the Gators were the Outdoor Scholar Team of the Year. This is the seventh time a men's team swept the indoor and outdoor awards, with this year being Florida's third such sweep.

All-Academic Individual honorees must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher, and met at least one of the following criteria:

- Indoors: finished in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event on the official TFRRS descending order list
- Outdoors: participated in any round of the NCAA Championships (including preliminary rounds)

Florida's men (3.16) and women (3.24) both eclipsed the 3.00 barrier required to be a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. This is the fifth consecutive year the women earned the honor, while it is the second straight year for the men.
