Gators Look to Keep Momentum Going in Chicago

The No. 6 Florida women's golf team heads to Chicago, Ill. for the Windy City Collegiate beginning on Monday, Sept. 30.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Coming off of a team win a couple weeks ago, the No. 6 Florida women's golf team looks to keep its momentum going at the Windy City Collegiate in Chicago, Ill. Hosted by Northwestern, the two-day event is scheduled to run from Monday, Sept. 30 to Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Format
The teams will complete 54 holes of stroke play over two days of competition. The first and second rounds will take place on Monday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m. ET with the final round beginning at the same time on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

The tournament is being played at the Par 72, 6,338 yards Glen View Club in Chicago, Ill. Founded in 1897, this venue has a rich history which includes hosting the inaugural Western Open and Western Amateur.

Tournament History
This will mark the sixth time that Florida has played in the Windy City Collegiate under head coach Emily Glaser.
The Gators' best finish during this span was fourth place which they have accomplished the past three years. Last season, Marta Perez led the Gators with a sixth-place individual finish at 2 under.
Last Time Out
Behind a second-place individual finish from Sierra Brooks and a phenomenal final round from Addie Baggarly, the Gators claimed their first team title of the season at the Glass City Invitational.
Brooks played steady throughout the tournament, recording a collective 1 under. The senior was one of only two players to finish the event under par.
Addie Baggarly shot a career-low 67 to move up 33 spots on the individual leaderboard in the final round, finishing the tournament tied for 19th.
Elin Esborn ended the tournament tied for 15th at 5 over. Marina Escobar finished the tournament at 6 over, good for 19th on the leaderboard
Clara Manzalini and Marta Perez finished the event at tied for 31st and tied for 37th, respectively.

The Gators travel to Stanford, Calif., for the Stanford Intercollegiate beginning on Friday, Oct. 11.
