Gators Set for Final Round in Portland

The Florida men's golf team is tied for 12th heading into the third round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational.
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Florida men's golf team shot 6 over in the second round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational and is tied for 12th heading into the final 18 holes of the event.
Despite a 1 over performance today, Ricky Castillo still leads Florida through 36 holes. The freshman is currently 3 under overall and tied for 18th on the leaderboard.
John Axelsen continued to play steady for the Gators through the second round, remaining at even par and sitting at tied for 30th on the leaderboard.
Quentin Debove and Chris Nido shot 2 over and 3 over, respectively, to round out UF's counting scores.
The third and final round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational is set to begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. PT.

On the team's second-round performance…
"Tough day for the boys. Came out flat and got ourselves too far behind. Quentin (Debove), John (Axelsen) and Ricky (Castillo) all had fantastic finishes to rescue the day at the end."
On looking ahead to tomorrow's final round…
"We've been great in the final round so far this year. We need that same focus and determination tomorrow. I believe in our guys and know they've got something great in them for tomorrow."
