COLUMBIA, S.C. – The fourth-ranked Florida Gators (4-0, 4-0) hit the road after their bye week to take on South Carolina (4-2, 4-2) for a two-match series beginning on Wednesday.
Wednesday's first serve is slated for 8 p.m. on the SEC Network, with Eric Frede and Katie George on the call. The two squads then quickly turn around for a 3 p.m. matchup on Thursday, airing on the SEC Network +.
UF holds the 58-7 record over the Gamecocks, including a 52-2 record under the helm of Mary Wise.
The 2020 SEC volleyball season will consist of an eight-match, conference-only schedule over six weeks of competition beginning Oct. 16 with each school competing against four opponents on back-to-back nights.

- The Gators currently sit first in the nation in opponent hitting percentage (.095) and blocks per set (3.46)
- Florida also ranks sixth in hitting percentage (.280), sits 14th in assists per set (12.42) and 18th in kills per set (13.17)
- Lauren Dooley is seventh in the nation in blocks per set, averaging 1.42 through the first four matches of the year. Holly Carlton also sits 12th with 1.22, while Marlie Monserez is 38th with 1.00
- T'ara Ceasar cracks the Top-15 nationally in two different categories: points per set (9th - 5.25) and kills per set (15th - 4.25)
- Marlie Monserez currently sits 12th in the nation in assists per set, averaging 10.67
- The Gators swept the South Carolina Gamecocks the last time the two teams faced off in Gainesville, Fla. on Oct. 16, 2019 (25-17, 25-19, 25-19)
- UF hit .368 on the night, led by 11 kills from Thayer Hall. Lauren Dooley added eight kills on 12 swings with just one error for a .538 clip, while former Gator Rachael Kramer also posted eight kills on the night
- Marlie Monserez dished out 37 assists on the night, averaging 12.33 assists per set
- Former Gator Allie Gregory led the back-court defense for Florida, recording 13 digs in the match. Paige Hammons added six, while Hall and Riley Fischer both pitched in five apiece
- The Gators recorded six blocks as a team, led by four from Dooley. Kramer and Monserez both registered two apiece on the night
- Monserez and Holly Carlton led the team in service aces, recording two apiece
