A trio who earned 2019 All-Southeastern Conference honors - Vanessa Kara, Julie Lester and Kit Loferski - graduate today.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A trio of All-Southeastern Conference Gator soccer players – Vanessa Kara, Julia Lester and Kit Loferski - celebrate finishing their degrees today.
University of Florida summer commencement is virtual due to COVID-19.
All three earned All-SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades during their Gator careers.

- Kara joined Florida for the 2019 season as a graduate transfer. She led the Gators with 10 goals and 21 points. The 2019 All-SEC second-team selection recently signed with Finish soccer team Tips Vantaa.
- Lester earned 2019 All-SEC first team honors after starting every match at center back. She is continuing her soccer career with Apollon Limassol in the Republic of Cyprus.
- Loferski joined Lester on the 2019 All-Southeast Region team and also earned All-SEC second team honors. She begins studies for her master's degree in management this fall as she will be the third member of the 2020 Gator team to wear the SEC Graduate patch this fall. Others on the 2020 team with their bachelor's degrees are Carina Baltrip-Reyes and Parker Roberts.
