Three Gators Finish Three Under, Florida in Second After Day One

Maisie Filler, Jackie Lucena and Clara Manzalini all shot 3-under in round one of The Ally.
WEST POINT, Miss. - Teeing off the first round of the fall finale, the Florida women's golf team shot it's best round of the season at 279 (-9) to sit in second at The Ally.
The trio of Maisie Filler, Jackie Lucena and Clara Manzalini all turned in 3-under par performances on the opening day to finish tied for sixth. Lucena recorded her third consecutive low round while Filler and Mazalini both tied for their team-leading fourth of the year. The group combined for only three bogeys compared to 12 birdies on the day.
Annabell Fuller (E) and Marina Escobar (+1) finished within a stroke of one another to round out the lineup to place T21 and T33, respectively.
As an individual, Jenny Kim concluded the day in T58.
Florida tees off round two tomorrow starting at 10:10 am. ET.
