"This evening, we had a great start to the meet. Freshman Adam Chaney, had an excellent performance leading off in the 200 MR. Kieran Smith also exhibited true tenacity in his lead off in the 800 Free Relay and secured a new SEC & Florida Record with that swim. All of our men on both relays did an exceptional job racing tonight. As good as we were tonight, this meet certainly hinges on your morning swims. We have a long meet ahead us and we need to remain focused and resilient. I would like to thank our Administration and Support Staff for their unending and abundant support. This truly is a team effort. Go Gators!!!"
