
Florida Sends 16 To Finals On Night Two Of The Championships

Chaney has fastest time in the 50 free in the nation right now
COLUMBIA, Mo. – In the 500 free, the first individual event of the championships, the Gators have five in the A-final, one in the B-final and two in the C-final.
Alfonso Mestre had the second fastest time for in the prelims with a time of 4:13.53 in the 500 free. Kieran Smith was in third, Trey Freeman in fourth, Robert Finke in fifth and Tyler Watson in sixth.
Brennan Gravley in the lone Gator in the B-final as he finished 13th overall in the prelims. Jace Crawford and John VanDeusen will be representing the Gators in the C-final for the 500 free.
In the 200IM Dillon Hillis is the lone Gator in the A-final as he was fourth overall in the prelims with a time of 1:43.11. In the B-final we have Clark Beach who was 11th overall, Miguel Cancel who was 14th overall, and Kevin Vargas who was 16th overall in the prelims.
Adam Chaney had the fastest time in the 50 free prelims and now has the fastest time in the nation as of right now as he secures a spot in the A-final and makes an A-cut for the NCAA. Will Davis and Eric Friese will join Chaney in the A-final.
In the C-final Isaac Davis is the lone Gator as he finished 20th overall in the prelims.

Wednesday evening will begin at 7 p.m. ET with the men's 50 free. The remainder of the schedule is the 200IM, 50 free and the 200 free relay.
