Florida Set For Day One Of NCAA Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida Men's swimming team returns to the pool for the 2021 NCAA Championships. The Gators had 12 swimmers and 1 diver earn spots into the championship, which begins on Wednesday, March 24.
The four-day championships will be held at the Greensboro Aquatics Center in Greensboro, N.C. hosted by North Carolina State University. The meet begins on Wednesday, March 24 and runs through Saturday, March 27.
Clark Beach, Adam Chaney, Will Davis, Robert Finke, Trey Freeman, Eric Friese, Leonardo Garcia, Brennan Gravley, Dillon Hillis, Alfonso Mestre, Kieran Smith, Kevin Vargas, and Tyler Watson all earned spots in the national championships with their season-best swims.
Two weeks ago, Leonardo Garcia qualified for the NCAA Championships at NCAA Zones in the 3-meter springboard and the platform.
Out of the 13 Gators going, they have one freshman, six sophomores, five juniors, and one senior.
The Gators also had all five relays meet either qualifying or provisional standard times for the NCAA Championships. The 400 Medley Relay, and the 800 Free Relay, 200 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay all qualified for the NCAA Championships.
