Florida Kicks Off Postseason Play in Birmingham

The Gators will compete in three days of stroke play before the weekend’s match play setup takes over.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida women's golf team travels to Birmingham, Ala. to compete in the 2021 SEC Women's Golf Championships, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 14 and continue through Sunday, April 19.

FORMAT
The LSU Tiger Invitational will feature 54 holes of stroke play over the course of two days. 36 holes will be played on Tuesday with the remaining 18 being played on Wednesday. The tournament features a shotgun start for all three rounds with Florida teeing it up on holes eight through 10 in each round. Competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET on both days.
COURSE INFORMATION
The championship is being held at the prestigious Greystone Golf and Country Club. Opened on September 29, 1991, the club held its first tournament in 1992 when George Archer won the inaugural playing of the Bruno's Memorial Classic, later renamed the Regions Charity Classic, and named as the No. 1 spot and best-run tournament on the Champions Tour by Sports Illustrated. The club has hosted the past eight SEC championships.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
This annual tournament has been held at Greystone Golf and Country Club since 2013. This is the third consecutive championship that will feature both stroke and match play, with match play on Saturday and Sunday. The Gators have claimed nine SEC titles, including the inaugural tournament in 1981. Florida's last championship was in 2017, when the team posted a 22-under par 842 overall score. Individually.
TWO GATORS COMPETE AT AUGUSTA
Sophomore Annabell Fuller and senior Addie Baggarly competed at the Augusta National Women's Amateur this past week. The tournament featured an elite class of 82 female golfers with the opportunity to play at the prestigious Augusta National course. Both Baggarly and Fuller competed in a closed practice at Augusta on Friday, while Fuller competed in the final round after making the top-30 cut after two rounds of play. She finished tied for 22nd.
COMING UP
The Gators will gear up for the NCAA Regionals, set to begin on Monday, May 10 and continue through Wednesday, May 12.
