
Riffice Coasts to Quarterfinal of NCAA Singles Tournament

Junior Gator will play on Wednesday in next round
ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida's Sam Riffice advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Tournament after a dominant 6-2, 6-0 win over Illinois' Siphosothando Montsi on Tuesday at the USTA National Campus.
"I feel very fortunate to be moving on into the quarterfinals over a great player from Illinois," Riffice said. "With all the coaches help I feel as though my game is improving with each match and I am excited for another great opportunity tomorrow."
Since Riffice and the Gators won the national championship over the weekend, the junior from Orlando has strung together three consecutive victories in as many days.
The UF captain is now scheduled to play Val Vacherot of Texas A&M in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at noon ET.

R32: 2-6, 6-2, 6-0
