Florida captains pick up AA honors after dominant seasons
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida's Sam Riffice and Duarte Vale were named 2021 ITA All-Americans, the ITA announced on Monday.
The two Gator captains picked up the honors thanks to their strong seasons in singles play.
Riffice, the 2021 NCAA singles champion, is now a four-time All-American. The junior previously earned All-American accolades in 2019 and 2020.
With an impressive 32-7 overall record in singles, he is the first player since Alfredo Perez in 2018 to become a four-time All-American.
Vale is now a three-time All-American, previously picking up honors in 2018 and 2020.
The senior from Portugal tallied a strong 26-7 overall record in singles play in the 2020-21 season.
