Gators Picked First in SEC Preseason Coaches Poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Florida Gators men's tennis team has been picked to finish first in the league with 153 points in the Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the Southeastern Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
The Gators are also the unanimous No. 1 team heading into the 2022 spring season as the ITA released its Division I poll last week. Florida received all 12 first-place votes in the ITA poll to sit atop the standings.
Tennessee is picked to finish second in the conference with 144 points, while Kentucky is picked to place third with 123 points. In addition to Florida, there are seven other SEC teams ranked in ITA's top 25 preseason coaches poll.
The SEC preseason poll is voted on by the men's tennis head coach at each institution and is based on a 13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 vote.
