Florida tallied 11 wins, six doubles and five singles, beginning the tournament perfect.
GAINSEVILLE, Fla. β The Florida Gators men's tennis team were happy to be back home competing at the Gator Fall Invite and it showed with a perfect day of competition in both doubles and singles on Friday at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.

Doubles play kicked off the tournament and all three Gators' duos delivered two wins apiece.

Nate Bonetto/Axel Nefve paired up for the first time this fall beating Spencer Gray/Josh Raab from Auburn, 8-1, and followed with a win over Antonio Prat/Martin Vergara from Miami, 8-3. Jonah Braswell/Lukas Greif continued their solid play together, as the combo edged both Jonas Hartenstein/Rodrigo Crespo from North Florida and Emilio Sanchez (UCF)/Kenta Miyoshi (Illinois), 8-6, respectively. Freshman pair Tanapatt Nirundorn/Togan Tokac cruised against UCF's Quinn Snyder/Luca Hotze, 8-4, and carried their success over to an 8-5 victory against North Florida's Patrick Kotan/Breno Marques.

In the singles bracket, five wins were secured β all in straight sets - while Bonetto and Will Grant earned first round byes.

Nirundorn grabbed the first collegiate singles victory of his young career in comeback fashion over Miami's Leonard Bierbaum. The freshman dominated the first set 6-3, but went down 5-2 to Bierbaum in the second. To clinch the win, the native of Thailand won five straight games to secure the second frame 7-5.

Nefve only dropped two games in his triumph over UCF's Emilio Sanchez 6-1, 6-1. Braswell earned his 13th singles victory against Luca Hotze from UCF 6-3, 6-0 and Tokac beat Oliver Okonkwo from Illinois 6-0, 6-2. Greif capped off the day for the Orange & Blue by beating Rodrigo Crespo of North Florida 6-2, 6-2.
