Florida to Bring 25 Entries to NCAA Outdoor Championships

Florida's women are second in the NCAA with 16 entries.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The lineups for Florida's track and field teams at the NCAA Outdoor Championships are set following action across the four-day NCAA East Prelims this past week in Bloomington, Ind.

The Florida women will bring 16 entries to Eugene across nine different events. The Gators will have multiple entries in six of those nine events.

Florida's men will take nine entries to Oregon across six different events. The Gators will field three in the 400 meters and two in the 100 meters.

Joseph Fahnbulleh (100m, 200m), Jasmine Moore (Long Jump, Triple Jump) and Anna Hall (Heptathlon, 400-Meter Hurdles) are all entered in multiple individual events.

Fahnbulleh will have the chance to defend his title in the 200 meters when the Gators go to Oregon.

On paper, both programs are expected to be in contention for a team title in a race against a handful of other teams.

Florida's women won the team title during the indoor season behind five individual event titles and 68 points.

The Gators have never won the NCAA Women's Outdoor Championship and will look to make history when they arrive in Eugene.

The NCAA awards trophies to the top-four teams at each NCAA Championship. Florida's men have finished in the top-4 at 12 consecutive NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The Gators have won the NCAA Men's Outdoor Championship four times, all of those titles coming under the guidance of Mike Holloway.

Action at the NCAA Outdoor Championships begins on Wednesday, June 8th with the semifinals of men's competition.

The women will commence action on Thursday, June 9th.
