
Florida Women Ranked No. 2, Men Ranked No. 6 Heading into NCAA Outdoor Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Both of the Florida track and field programs will head to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a top-six National Ranking, the USTFCCCA announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Florida's women come in at No. 2 while the men follow at No. 6. Every edition of the USTFCCCA Ratings Index has seen the Florida Women's Track and Field Team ranked inside the top-five this year.
The Gators tallied a combined 25 entries to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with the women bringing 16 and the men taking nine.
Florida's 16 entries on the women's side are the second most in the country.
Jasmine Moore (Long Jump and Triple Jump), Anna Hall (Heptathlon and 400-Meter Hurdles) and Joseph Fahnbulleh are all entered in multiple individual events.
Fahnbulleh is the defending NCAA Outdoor Champion in the 200 meters and will have the chance to repeat in the event next week in Eugene.
Florida's women will contest nine events, six of those featuring multiple athletes.
On the men's side, Florida qualified through in six events including both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
Both programs will head to Eugene with the chance to tally big points in the team title races.
Florida's women won the title during the indoor season and will look to win their first outdoor title in program history next week.
The men have finished with a team trophy (Top-4 teams) at 12 consecutive NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Action in Eugene begins next Wednesday (Men) and Thursday (Women).
