
Florida Tennis Signs Nikola Daubnerova to 2024-25 Roster

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head Coach Roland Thornqvist announced Monday the signing of top recruit Nikola "Nikki" Daubnerova from Slovakia. Daubnerova was ranked fifth in the world as a junior last year and has won a total of 10 doubles titles.
As a junior, Daubnerova made it to the round of 16 in singles at the 2023 Australian Open and the round of 32 in both the 2022 French Open and U.S. Open. Last year, in doubles, she made it to the semifinals of Wimbledon and won the European Championships in Klosters, Switzerland.
On the ITF circuit, Daubnerova has achieved a ranking of 706th in singles and 824th in doubles.
Thornqvist on the signing of Daubnerova: "We are very excited to have Nikola joining our program. She is a very talented player, with a strong work ethic and has been highly successful on the ITF junior and pro circuit. Her commitment and desire to get better on and off the court will fit perfectly with our team culture. She is a great addition to our Florida Gator tennis family."
Daubnerova will come to Gainesville in the fall of 2024 and join the Gators for the 2024-25 campaign.
