GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 20th-ranked Florida volleyball team – who earned the No. 4 seed in the Top Left portion of the bracket – begins its 2023 NCAA Tournament with a matchup against Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday night.
First serve is slated for 7 p.m. in Exactech Arena. The match will air on ESPN+ and can also be heard on the airways of ESPN 98.1 FM/850 AM.
Florida (18-9) holds the 3-0 series advantage over the Eagles (26-6), including a 1-0 record in the NCAA Tournament. These teams faced off exactly one year ago on Sept. 9, 2022 in Gainesville, Florida and the Gators came away with a 3-set victory (25-23, 25-19, 25-13).
South Alabama takes on the No. 5 seed Georgia Tech in the first match of the day at 4:30 p.m. and the winner of that match will take on the winner of Florida/FGCU on Friday at 7 p.m.
