Fred Biondi (First Team), Yuxin Lin (Second Team), Ricky Castillo (Honorable Mention) and John DuBois (Honorable Mention) all earned All-American status.
NORMAN, Okla. - Four Florida men's golfers - Fred Biondi, Ricky Castillo, John DuBois, Yuxin Lin - were named PING All-Americans the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCCA) announced on Friday.
The four selections were tied for the most by a school joining Florida State, North Carolina, Pepperdine, and Vanderbilt this year. It also tied the UF record for All-American honors in a season, marking the seventh time in program history, the last time being in 2006.
Earning the first team for the second straight season was Fred Biondi followed by three-time recipient Ricky Castillo (honorable mention). Both John DuBois (honorable mention) and Yuxin Lin (second team) earned all0maerican status for the first time.
Additionally, head coach J.C. Deacon was named the Division I Dave Williams National Coach of the Year earlier in the week by the GCCA.
