GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida soccer adds Emilia Eriksen, a player with international experience, to the 2025 roster. The defender transfers to Florida for the spring 2025 semester after appearing in 12 matches at Clemson as a freshman in 2024.
"We are thrilled to add Emilia to our roster this week. One of our favorite qualities about Emilia is her willingness to work hard. Given an opportunity and clear direction, we believe she'll thrive in the competitive environment at Florida and in the SEC," Florida Head Coach Samantha Bohon said. "We're looking forward to watching her compete!"
Both of Eriksen's parents played soccer professionally. Her father, Alexander, played his pro career in Germany. A four-time All-West Coast Conference selection and still Santa Clara's career leader with five hat-tricks, her mother Mikka Hansen Eriksen played for the Carolina Courage and represented Denmark at the 1999 World Cup.
"I chose UF because it was the perfect combination of a prestigious education while playing soccer at the highest level. The competitive yet family-like culture of the team is something I can't wait to be a part of," Eriksen said. "I could not be more excited to get to Gainesville and compete for the Florida family! GO GATORS!!"
Eriksen is the eighth newcomer to join the Gators for the 2025 season. UF signed six freshmen last month and announced the addition of Notre Dame transfer Abby Gemma earlier today.
