GAINESVILLE, Fla. —Following a road victory at Clemson, Florida will return to its home court and matchup against The Herd. Sunday's contest is slated for a 2 p.m. tip-off and will be streamed on SECN+. Â

Marshall's last outing took place on Dec. 1, where they defeated Salem University 98-41 at home. Both Florida and Marshall will enter Sunday's contest defeating their prior two opponents.

THE SERIES:
 The overall series between Florida and Marshall is tied at 1-1.
GATORS x MARSHALL HISTORY:
The Gators last saw Marshall on Dec. 2, 2023, falling 91-88 on the road. Florida was edged by the Herd last season after holding the lead for upwards of 33 minutes. Marshall came out in the fourth quarter shooting 61.5 percent from the field and securing 28 points to surpass UF in the final minutes of play.

The only other meeting between Florida and Marshall dates back to Dec. 10, 2017, resulting in a 74-69 Gator victory. Sunday's game will mark the third meeting between the Herd and Florida, and will be Marshall's second visit to Exactech Arena.

Florida's last time out was on Thursday, Dec. 5, resulting in a road victory over Clemson. The Gators defeated the Tigers 77-64 in the 2024 SEC/ACC Challenge. The win at Littlejohn Coliseum also marked Florida's first road victory of the season and their fifth win overall.

Offensively the Gators were led by freshman
Liv McGill with a 21-point outing. Senior
Ra Shaya Kyle also played a key role in Florida's win, securing 16 points and 10 rebounds to post her fifth double-double of the 2024- 25 season.
Jeriah Warren was the third and final Gator to hit double digits in scoring with 14 points in Thursday's outing.
