Florida Basketball Welcomes Alexia Gassett to 2024-25 Roster

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Head Coach Kelly Rae Finley announced that Florida women's basketball has added a 6-2 Forward to the 2024-25 roster. Redshirt Junior Alexia Gassett (formerly Alexia Mobley) comes to Florida via the transfer portal after playing her last two seasons at The University of Louisville.
In her most recent season with Louisville, Gassett saw her season high in scoring with a 12-point performance against Bellarmine (Nov. 16). In the 2023-24 season Gassett played in 24 games for the Cardinals and was shooting 62.5 percent from the field. Gassett proved to be a tough competitor early in the season as she reached a career-high seven rebounds against North Carolina A&T (Dec. 3).
Before her stint at Louisville, Gassett was ranked a four-star recruit from Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She was also ranked at No. 31 overall and recognized as the seventh-best wing in the 2022 recruiting class.

In addition to Gassett, the Gators' are also welcoming three highly competitive freshmen to the 2024-25 roster: Kylee Kitts (Hagerty High School), and McDonald's All-American's Me'Arah O'Neal (Episcopal High School), and Liv McGill (Hopkins High School).
