Florida Ranks No. 19 in ITA Preseason Poll

GAINESVILLE, Fla.— Florida women's tennis will begin the 2025 season in the nation's top-25. The Gators No. 19 rank comes after a highly competitive 2024 season, and doubles pair Rachel Gailis and Alicia Dudeney advanced to the NCAA semifinals.
In addition to the Gators, fellow conference opponents: Georgia (1), Texas A&M (2), Texas (7), Auburn (12), Oklahoma (16), Tennessee (18), South Carolina (20), Vanderbilt (21), and Alabama (22) are all among the country's top-25. The SEC leads all conferences in the rankings with ten teams featured in the preseason poll. The ACC follows with eight teams, and the Big Ten rounds out the top-25 with four.
The Gators are set to take on multiple teams in the preseason's top-25 and will open up spring competition this weekend at home. The Gators are set to host the Florida Invitational at Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex with play beginning on Saturday, Jan. 11. More details on the Florida Invitational will be announced later this week.
The ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the ITA National Ranking Committee. The National Ranking Committee is made up of the 13 ITA Region Chairs, with each chair casting an individual, secret ballot.
