
Gators Men’s Tennis Welcomes Lorenzo Claverie to the Spring 2026 Roster

The Gators welcome their second signee for the 2026 spring season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Lorenzo Claverie joins as the second recruit to sign with the Gators for the 2026 spring season, joining incoming freshman Roman Sancilio.
Claverie, looks to add more veteran experience to the Gators squad after competing in several ATP tournaments and earning an ATP career high singles ranking of 643 (10/23/23) and a career high doubles ranking of 586 (08/14/23). He also holds a career high ITF Juniors ranking of No. 52, where he had an overall record of 75-41.
Claverie claimed one title on the men's singles ITF tour at the M15 San Diego in 2023 and has four doubles ITF titles at the M15 Vero Beach and M25 Anapoima in 2023 and M15 Craiova and M15 Curtea de Arges in 2022. All four doubles titles came on clay courts, while his singles win was played on a hard court.
Claverie comes to the University of Florida from Caracas, Venezuela, but has lived in the Sunshine State for the past seven years in Boca Raton, Fla. playing tennis across the country. He joins Tanapatt Nirundorn and Pablo Perez Ramos as a senior on the 2026 spring roster.
