Florida Men's Tennis Earns No. 6 Seed in SEC Tournament

The Gators will open play on Thursday at 6 p.m. and will face the winner of Ole Miss vs. Arkansas
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Gators have secured the No. 6 seed in the upcoming 2025 SEC Men's Tennis Tournament. Florida will open play on Thursday, April 17 facing the winner of Wednesday's match-up between Ole Miss and Arkansas. The match is slated to begin at 6 p.m. at the Carolina Tennis Center.
 
The No. 29 Gators enter this Thursday's 6 p.m. match with a 13-10 overall record and an 8-6 conference record.
 
Last Time Out
Florida is coming off of a 4-1 loss to No. 15 South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday in Columbia. Florida secured the doubles point but struggled to find momentum in singles action.
 
SEC Tournament History
The Gators have won six conference tournament championships in the history of the event, most recently in 2022. Florida is 55-27 at the SEC Tournament since team play was initiated in 1990.

ITA RANKINGS
As a team, Florida sits at No. 29 in the ITA rankings. Three Gators are ranked in singles competition: Jeremy Jin at No. 73, Adhithya Ganesan at No. 43, and JanMagnus Johnson at No. 122. UF also has two ranked doubles pairs, Tanapatt Nirundorn and Henry Jefferson  sit at No. 21, followed by Nirundorn and Ganesan at No. 82.
